Bumfuzzled Fulfillment Update #2!

Just a quick update, which is more a glimpse as to how "interesting" life can get for creators!
New Fulfillment Partner
On Monday of this week, I awoke to find an email in my inbox that Funagain Fulfillment is going out of business. The goods are due to arrive there this week, and while they're not shuttering April and can handle the fulfillment, I was very uneasy having them fulfill the project, knowing the shutdown would soon follow. There tends to be a good amount of customer service that happens after shipping over 1,000 packages, and having my shipper shutting down in the midst of that seems unwise.
Fortunately, I've worked in the board game industry for over 15 years, and know many publishers who use many fulfillment partners. After asking around, I landed on Fulfillrite as the best option for us, who will now be handling the Bumfuzzled fulfillment! As soon as the shipment arrives at Funagain, Fulfillrite will pick it up from them.
The silver lining is that Funagain had about a 3-week backlog, whereas Fulfillrite will begin shipping pretty much as soon as the Bumfuzzleds get there. So, any time lost in moving the freight again should be regained, with a net 0 effect on when you get your puzzles!
Not what I was expecting to start my week off with, but no biggie in the grand scheme! :D
Shipping Has Been Charged
Unless you're in the handful of folks yet to complete the Backerkit survey, or your payment info was out of date, you should see your shipping charges have taken place, and the addresses have been locked down. This is always the last step before fulfillment, so we moved forward on that since shipping is right around the corner!

We also received the sample of the final puzzle of the Party in the Back series, which will be our next campaign, likely in late March or early April, pending everyone receiving their Bumfuzzleds.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and beginning of 2023!
Where are the Bumfuzzleds Now?
Just a quick fulfillment update: we just received word that after an unexpected container inspection by U.S. customs and weather-related delays, the Bumfuzzleds have been picked up from port in Los Angeles, and are due to arrive in Funagain Logistics' Indianapolis fulfillment warehouse in a week. From there, Funagain is projecting a 2-4 week turnaround on getting packages out, so we're currently on an early-to-mid February timeline for dispatching shipments.
Orders Locking on Wednesday!
With the above confirmations, we'll be locking down the orders on Backerkit on Wednesday, January 11th, and charging for shipping immediately after. So, if you'd wanted to add anything to your orders, or need to update your addresses and/or payment method in Backerkit, you've got about 48 hours to get corrections in!
More Previews of Our Next Project!
We'll likely launch our next "Party in the Back" series in late March or early April, assuming all the above timelines play out. Here's another peek at one of those puzzles. You can also see a few more photos on our Instagram.

Bumfuzzleds are on U.S. Soil!

Hey friends,
Just a quick update that the container ship, YM Unicorn, just arrived at port in Los Angeles yesterday, and the Bumfuzzleds should be on dry land again soon if they're not already!
Where do the Bumfuzzleds go from here?
From here, the puzzles need to get freighted to our fulfillment partner's warehouse in Indianapolis. The current freight shipping environment is a bit precarious, especially during the holidays, so this can take anywhere from 1-3 months; it's just rather unpredictable. Hopefully, we'll be closer to the one month end of things!
Looking Ahead
As is the nature with companies that use Kickstarter, we're always looking ahead to the next project while the current one is in process of being produced and fulfilled! I shared a preview of the upcoming Party in the Back series in the last update, and have been sharing more photos on our Instagram and Facebook feeds over the past weeks!
We wish you all a very blessed Christmas! It's a particularly sweet time of year for us, as a few years back we were delivered into this wonderful new life in Christ. After years and years of trying to squeeze love, identity, satisfaction, and purpose out of our jobs/careers, relationships, pursuit of wealth and possessions, and you name it, we found that Jesus *really is* who He says He is! By simply surrendering to His great love for us, we now have all of that fulfillment in Him in every single situation and life circumstance, good or bad, and our traumas, addictions, and pains have been steadily healed by Him.
If you don't know Him, the greatest gift you can give yourself this Christmas is starting to know Him! A simple starting point is just asking to know Him; He's always there, and will always hear you. We also have incredible access to His Word; if you've never known who Jesus is, I recommend reading the book of John in the Bible, which follows His life from birth, to death, to resurrection. If you don't own a Bible, a quick Google search will give you access for free! I promise you, it's worth the read!

All Aboard!

Hey friends,
Just a quick update that the Bumfuzzleds have begun their voyage to the US, boarding the container ship "YM UNICORN" in Yantian. The ship just left Yantian a few hours ago, so to the open seas we go!
We're somewhere on this boat!
The current ETA for the arrival of the goods in Funagain Logistics' Indianapolis warehouse is December 20th. However, with holiday shipping and the current state of international freight, there may be some leeway there.
What Else is Going on at Puzzle Bomb?
In the mean time, I have more "Party in the Back" samples on the way, which will be our next Kickstarter once the Bumfuzzleds fulfill! They just finished a second sample of the puzzle I previewed to you in the last update after making some minor fixes, and a second puzzle is on the way for me to approve! I don't have any great photos, as I don't have them in-hand yet, but, here's a photo of one of the layers from the manufacturer!

While the Bumfuzzleds are in production, we've been hard at work on our next series of puzzles! We won't launch that project until this one fulfills, but here's a sneak peek of an early sample from the upcoming series:
