You were far too kind! Bumfuzzled Update!

Hey puzzle friends!
It's been a while since we last communicated here, as the puzzles fulfilled early this year, but we just wanted to post a quick update and invitation:
Alignment Issues
The main reason for this update is due to a recent trip I took to our fulfillment warehouse. Based on some feedback, we had a hunch that alignment issues were more widespread than we'd initially thought.
Upon individually inspecting all of our remaining stock of 1,400 puzzles, I found a whopping 35% of our inventory had alignment issues that we're personally unhappy with. Most were fairly minor, but we were upset to see that so many backers likely received puzzles that were lower quality than we'd want to ship out. I promptly threw the defective product into a dumpster, so all future product sent will be A-grade!
Your Invitation!
Despite our discovery, we've had a very low rate of complaints about quality. Far lower than I'd expect given my findings. So, the invitation: please reach out to [email protected] if you were any less than 100% happy with the appearance of your puzzles! We'll send replacements, no questions asked.
The Future of Bumfuzzled
We've got big plans for the Bumfuzzled line in 2024! Several new designs are complete and production-ready, so if you've been enjoying your Bumfuzzleds, more are on the way! Here's a sneak peek at one of my favorite works-in-progress.
That's all for now! Happy puzzling!
Love and blessings,

Bumfuzzled Troubleshooting!
– Sun, Feb 12, 2023 at 08:57:59 PM
Hey friends,
About 90 percent of the packages were shipped last week, and as they begin to arrive, we just wanted to address some early feedback and troubleshooting!
Fused Pieces
The most common issue so far has been pieces that aren't 100% cut by the laser cutting process. If you find this issue when disassembling your puzzle, don't panic, as it's easily fixable! If you flip the stuck pieces over, you'll find there's a tiny bit of uncut veneer, typically less than 1 mm. Usually, gently twisting the pieces back and forth while applying a little pressure makes a clean break. If this makes you a bit nervous, or you find a stubborn piece, pressing the tip of an exacto blade into the uncut nub will easily and cleanly cut it.
We didn't foresee this issue, as the samples we reviewed were cut cleanly, with the exception of one or two pieces on one puzzle. We apologize for the bit of extra effort some folks might have with disassembling, but are relieved that the solution is simple, and doesn't affect the quality of the puzzles.
Misalignment
Rarer feedback has been about puzzles where the cutting was a bit offset from the printing (more than the 0.2 mm that we consider acceptable). We knew there'd be a handful of this issue in the mass production process, as it's really hard to avoid the occasional error when printing 1,000+ of each puzzle. If you're not happy with the alignment on a puzzle, email us ([email protected]) and we'll get a replacement in the mail ASAP!
"X" Pieces
This isn't a problem, but some folks are confused as to why some pieces have an "X" engraved into them. These are meant to be pieces you throw away, and not part of the puzzle.
In some puzzles, some of the tiniest "X" pieces have already fallen out during production. This is completely normal; they are not missing pieces as they're intended to be tossed anyways.
Happy Puzzling
We're so excited to see folks receiving their puzzles, and hope you get many hours of enjoyment out of them!

Bumfuzzled Shipping is Imminent!

Hey friends,
Just a quick update that the puzzles have arrived in Fulfillrite's New Jersey warehouse after the unexpected emergency fulfillment partner switch. Oddly, we're actually going to *gain* about a week since Fulfillrite has a much quicker turnaround time. I've also found them to be a much more well-oiled machine that the previous partner that makes many things much more simple for us, so it's definitely been a blessing in disguise!
When will I get my puzzles?
Shipping should start later this week. Shipping is from New Jersey, so east coasters will be getting them first, and then a bit later as you head west. Of course, non-US pledges will take longer to start showing up.
Our apologies that we didn't quite hit the initial January schedule, but we're glad we're not too far behind!
What if there are problems?
While 99% of orders should be problem-free, sporadic issues can arise with orders being mis-packed, or puzzles having manufacturing flaws. If you come across any issues with your order, please email: [email protected]. We'll make sure you're well taken care of!
Gratuitous preview of the next campaign
We were prepping some animated GIFs for the next "Party in the Back" campaign, and are pleased with the results, so here's one of them! *fingers crossed that Kickstarter updates support animated GIFs*
If you read updates and are interested in these, you've likely already signed up, but just in case, you can sign up here for launch notification!
We so much look forward to seeing y'all enjoy the Bumfuzzleds; it's been a long time coming!
